At The Open Door Community, we believe that no one should have to face hardship alone.
We are a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, crisis and life's unexpected challenges across Wollondilly, Wingecarribee and Camden.
Whether someone needs emergency food relief, practical support, advocacy or simply a compassionate person to listen, our aim is to provide assistance with dignity, respect and without judgement.
Our belief is simple: sometimes all someone needs is an open door.

Our mission is to provide free, compassionate, barrier‑free support to individuals and families experiencing hardship across Wollondilly, the Wingecarribee LGA, and parts of the Camden LGA. We aim to ensure no one faces tough times alone by offering practical help, dignity, and genuine care through food hampers, referrals, advocacy, and community connection.
We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where people feel seen, valued, and supported — without judgement, paperwork, or barriers. Our mission is grounded in community, driven by kindness, and strengthened by the belief that everyone deserves access to help when life becomes overwhelming.
